I listened to this with my 13yo and my 11yo. Lucy and Esme are my favorite duo in The Other Realm. 11yo - "It was the best book ever!" 13yo - "It's a pretty good book." As soon as the audiobook ended, they tried to start the next book in the universe. We listened to the omnibus, so my review for all 3 books is the same.

Having read the Glimmer series I had high hopes for this book and it did not disappoint! I really loved how Lucy tackled the challenge of being a hated Alpha and put her best paw forward with Esme to protect the pack. There are lots of other species in this book other than werewolves, each with their own quirks. My personal favorites are the gargoyles for sheer amusement and Ares the murderderous unicorn. Lots of laugh out loud moments in this book, highly recommend!

Lucy is still trying to figure out who the evil witch is (from the previous book), someone has injured Ares, another alpha is coming to war against her, and she needs to find the prophecy about her. A lot of answers come out in this book. All in a day’s work for Lucy.
