Wenn man die Entwicklung des Kinos nach 1945 betrachtet, wirkt es auf den ersten Blick oft, als hätte hier ein sehr einseitiger Einfluss des amerikanischen Kinos auf das westdeutsche Kino stattgefunden. Auch international betrachtet wirkt Hollywood oft hegemonial. Doch meiner These nach ist der Kulturtransfer in Bezug auf das Medium Film keineswegs so einseitig als amerikanischer Einfluss auf Westdeutschland zu erkennen. Welche anderen Transfers zwischen dem deutschen Kino und Hollywood stattfanden, werde ich behandeln.
