Each chapter of this screenplay corresponds to a track on the "Harbor Reflections" album, designed to be experienced together as a complete artistic work. The characters who emerge—Marcus with his dawn saxophone, Eliza discovering new purpose, the Jackson family finding their way home to each other—represent the universal human experiences of loss, hope, forgiveness, and transformation that play out daily in harbors around the world. Through nine interconnected scenes spanning dawn to evening, their stories remind us that sometimes the longest journey is the one that brings us back to where we belong.
I, Stanley Scott Jr. am San Francisco/Oakland-based photographer, composer, and author whose work explores the intersection of jazz, soul, and storytelling. After earning certifications in information technology and addiction treatment I have dedicated my career to creating multimedia experiences that bridge different art forms.
My instrumentals compositions have been featured in novel soundtracks, commercials, and background music for social media posts around the world. "Harbor Reflections" is my 30th novel, expanding on the themes of my wonderful instrumental album of the same name.
When not composing or writing, I can often be found walking the Oakland waterfront at dawn with my camera, contributing to the community by photo journaling, education programs, or driving my 1987 GMC Caballero truck named "In God We Trust” on the bay.
