Cassie is a scientist at heart. She gets a thrill out of solving crimes, but TBE science is where it is at for her. This case challenges her, Isaac, Zack and Hadrian, starting with a compelling locked room mystery this whodunit plays fair with the reader, and builds off of concepts that have been in play throughout the series. I love the dynamics between the members of this team, the fun character moments, and the drive to improve themselves, & the Paranormal Criminal Investigations Unit.

Spell Searcher is the last book in the Paranormal Criminal Investigations series. It should not end here, especially knowing that the foursome is growing, as is the PCI. I hope there is some consideration for more stories in this series. There is now a daughter to consider, and we see the PCI becoming exactly what Cassie, Hadias, Zack, and Isaac envisioned and worked so hard for. Spell Searcher contains a double mystery with an easily figured-out surprise connection. This particular book does not have the same level of mystery but is still just as enjoyable. I quickly figured out "who done it" but enjoyed the story's unfolding. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Cassie and her mates are facing many changes within the PCI teams. As they expand their local offices, the way they interact and process data is likely to change. Might other changes be in store for them? Cassie is excited to continue to develop her dna database and especially to follow her interests into how fated mates change the blood and dna of their mates. At the suggestion of one of her mates to exchange information and ideas with other scientists, a project grows. When her pet project might have relevance to a number of ongoing investigations, new opportunities to expand and apply her data.
