About this ebook

I thought I had the end of the world under control.

Closing the reality blister at Paradise Homes should have granted me a moment to breathe. No more hellhounds came through. We were somewhat safe. Finding our ghost’s ring should have been a breeze.

I didn’t count on the super-soldiers. Or Nax’s illness. Or that my sword’s guiding “voices” might be something utterly malicious.

I was supposed to stop the apocalypse. I was supposed to be a hero. But sometimes we’re only the hero we deserve….

Readers say the depth and world building of the Dragonriders of Pern meets the heroic heart of Mercy Thompson in the explosive, genre-bending World on Fire universe. Dive into a world where Science Fiction blends with Urban Fantasy and immerse yourself with dragons, immortal warriors, family, love… and unknown science so advanced it’s indistinguishable from magic.

Philadelphia (Del) Parrish thought that once she closed the monstrosity of a "blister" that allowed hellhounds and a former Fate turned Burner through from another a parallel time that the pressure was off. Apocalypse avoided. Of course it's never that easy. Now being the bearer of the Midnight Blade she's hearing voices, there's an army force after her, and she still has two elderly supernatural beings in her care after escaping the attack on Paradise Homes. Mrs. K and Nax never fail to keep things interesting, but new enemies, frienemies, and unlikely heroes emerge as the next portion of Del's adventure continues. Kris Austen Radcliffe's writing has the amazing, innate ability to keep you on the edge of your seat. If you thought Part 1 was good, then Part 2 will blow your mind. Witch of the Midnight Blade Part 2 is easy to read back to back with Part 1 as they're both novellas, fast-paced, and quick reads. Be prepared though to be screaming in agony for Part 3 like you're waiting for the next season of Game of Thrones. It's THAT good! If you're anything like me and enjoy urban fantasy you'll read it all in one sitting.

This is a great continuation of part one. Our hero's are still traveling. They go to Del's parents house to try to get first aid for the emperor. Having a quiet nite all hell breaks loose in the am

About the author

Kris’s Science Fiction universe, World on Fire, brings her descriptive touch to the fantastic. Her Urban Fantasy series, Northern Creatures, sets her magic free. She’s traversed many storytelling worlds, including dabbles in film and comic books, time as a talent agent and a textbook photo coordinator, as well as a foray into nonfiction. But she craved narrative and richly-textured worlds—and unexpected, true love.

Kris lives in Minnesota with her husband, two daughters, and Handsome Cat.
