This is part of Kris Austen Radcliffe's Fate Fire Shifter Dragon series. This is an urban fantasy novella surrounding Philadelphia (Del) Parrish, a young woman who works at a retirement home. She starts to feel something is off about the community home and starts to realize the these are not the typical elderly. Shifters, fates, and hellhounds? Oh my! It's a battle for survival in a fast paced adventure that will have you turning the pages of your e-reader as fast as your eyes can scan and process the words. As with any of her books, I highly recommend. It will leave you begging for Part 2!

Kris Austen Radcliffe has given us "Witch of the Midnight Blade", where we find Del working at Paradse Homes a retirement center. All hell breaks loose and we find no one is as they seem.The burners have come from another demension. Old man Nax from room 38A no longer looks like a 90# weakling but is all muscles. And Mrs Karanova is talking to the ghost of the daughter of the czar of Russia. Then Del discovers that she is a warrior and must fight to save everyone. I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Kris’s Science Fiction universe, World on Fire, brings her descriptive touch to the fantastic. Her Urban Fantasy series, Northern Creatures, sets her magic free. She’s traversed many storytelling worlds, including dabbles in film and comic books, time as a talent agent and a textbook photo coordinator, as well as a foray into nonfiction. But she craved narrative and richly-textured worlds—and unexpected, true love.
