Dr. Sara Spowart received her bachelor’s degree in Global Studies in 2005, her Master’s in Public Administration in 2010, her PhD in Public Health in 2014, her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2019 and is currently completing her Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (expected graduation 2024) and a Master's degree in Happiness Studies. She is an Adjunct Professor of both Psychology and Public Health at the College of Public Health and also Department of Psychology at the University of South Florida. Her research activity mainly involves the intersection of mental health with humanitarian assistance and global health. She has completed a textbook that identifies this intersection that was published in 2023. She has served as an editor of 3 open-access journals, created published academic materials for numerous books and for Carnegie Mellon University.
