‘Exciting, unpredictable, and very, VERY funny. A FINALIST and highly recommended!’ - The Wishing Shelf Book Awards

Marty is desperate for friends, having left his behind when he moved into 10 Downing Street with his mum.

Bored and lonely, his life suddenly becomes a lot more exciting when he sneaks out of a secret passage and meets Jumi, a young eco protester. He agrees to help her in her fight to stop a new airport from destroying an ancient woodland.

But being an eco warrior isn’t as easy as he thinks.

Featuring a mum who just happens to be the Prime Minister, a very nosy sister, a gorilla-wrestling security guard and the creepiest politician in the world, Eco Worrier sees a bored and lonely boy take on a sinister plot and his own fears in this hilarious book from debut novelist Ian Slatter.

Eco Worrier is the perfect read for children who love an adventure story with twists and turns and plenty of laughs along the way.

I loved this book - it's a great fun read for adults as well as its 9-13-year-old intended readership, which it is perfect for. The environmental message that underpins the plot is critical, and the storyline is engaging and has a great ending. Margaret L - Amazon review ★★★★★

Great storyline, over the top wild adventures, some mischief and pictures to help bring this story alive to keep you turning the pages till the end. Manda - Goodreads review ★★★★★

I read this book in one day. It has a great plot that will teach kids about the environment and politics - but it wasn’t preachy in any way. Xenon - Amazon review ★★★★★

The story has everything from blackmail, protests, espionage, secret passages to annoying sisters. Also, I loved how the author included political and environmental themes into the plot. Rajivs Reviews ★★★★★

While Eco Worrier by Ian Slatter was written primarily for nine to thirteen-year olds, it’s a story that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Chris Clifford - Amazon review ★★★★★
