About this ebook

What happens when a mind-reading alien goes to middle school?

Charlie Baker is the new kid at school. He looks like any other kid, but he’s far from it, and somehow he has to fit in and not reveal his secret.

He thought it would be easy, but on the first day, he already messed up big time. Now, a girl, Maya, knows he’s from outer space, and the school bully, Caden, is out to get him.

But Charlie has to make this middle school on earth thing work, so he’s willing to do whatever it takes–even if it means getting Caden flowers or wearing toilet clothes!

It was a thrilling tween book. I finished it in two days as it was a struggled to put it down. I love aliens in sci-fi, especialy in the plot where they try to learn how to navigate going to school or living on Earth. I often relate to the alien character in the fact that I find social settings fairly difficult. It is nice for me to see my experience as someting I have to go through alone. I am now a college kid and co-op at an after school program. I might recommend this book to some of the children there.

A good book. Cute and funny. some truly amusing moments and some interesting views into the middle school mind. The kind of thing that kids can read to remind themselves they're not as weird as other people think they are. And then even if they are there's nothing wrong with that.

so much fun! reading this book to my children has been a blast, expecially with all of Charlie "phrases" he gets mixed up. my favorite was oh pug! a great story about the give and take of friendship and making friends being the new kid.
