About the author

Siddhartha Paul Tiwari, is a distinguished academic, technology expert, and researcher who has made significant contributions to the fields of education, mobile technology, digital strategies, and information and communications technology. Currently, he is responsible for Google Asia Pacific's Mobile Policy for South East Asia, China, Japan, and Korea. Prior to this, he led Google's global learning and development initiatives from Tokyo. He is an Elected Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute and The Royal Asiatic Society. As an author, he has published 50 papers on the impact of new technologies on society. He has been a pro bono visiting professor at institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. More than 40 postgraduate courses have been introduced by him with leading academic institutions and universities in Asia.

Professor Dr. Adi Fahrudin was born on January 12, 1966. He is a Professor in Social Work at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the Republic of Indonesia under the High Education Service Agency Region III Jakarta seconded to the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, Indonesia (from 1 March 2022 until present). Start 26 June 2022, Prof Adi was appointed as Head of the Institute for Research, Community Service and Publication, and since 10 August 2023, he has also been appointed as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya til 10 August 2024. Before that, he was appointed as Professor in Social Work seconded to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, at the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta (1 January 2012- 28 February 2022) and the Bandung Polytechnic of Social Welfare (1 March 1993 – December 2011). From April 2018 until 31 March 2025, he was appointed as a Visiting Professor at the Japan University College of Social Work, Tokyo Japan. From 2015-2023, he was appointed as a Visiting Professor and Associate Research Fellow at The Psychology and Social Health Research Unit, Faculty of Psychology and Education, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Prof Adi is also an Associate Research Scholar at the Asian Research Institute for International Social Work (ARIISW), Shukutoku University, Chiba, Jepang (2015 until now). Previously he was appointed as a Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UnisZa), Malaysia (2014-2015), and Visiting Associate Professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia (1997-1998).
