Writer-broadcaster Richard Fidler is the author of the bestselling books The Golden Maze and Ghost Empire, and co-author of the bestselling Saga Land with Kári Gíslason. Fidler presents 'Conversations', an in-depth, up-close-and-personal interview program. 'Conversations' is broadcast across Australia on ABC Radio and podcast all over the world to millions of listeners.
Sarah Kanowski studied English at the University of Oxford, where she wrote a thesis on the Mosley family. Sarah then spent a year in South America before settling back in Australia. In Hobart she edited the literary magazine Island, until sun and grandparents beckoned her back to Brisbane where she now lives with her husband and three young children. She presented Books and Arts on ABC RN and looked after Conversations when Richard Fidler was away.
Richard E. Grant is in no way related to Hugh Grant! Though they are quite good friends. Born and raised in Swaziland, Richard E. Grant wears a watch on both wrists. One belongs to his late father and is set to Swaziland time. Richard studied drama at Cape Town University where he co-founded the Troupe Theatre Company. He moved to London in 1982 and worked in theatre until he got his big break with the cult hit "Withnail and I" in 1986. Since then, Richard has appeared in over 60 movies, with some of Hollywood's leading directors and actors. He's also written two books, and appeared in many theatre productions. He's married to dialect coach Joan Washington and they live together in London with their daughter Olivia.
