Mrs. Uma Balakumar started writing in 2005 and she has written around 42 novels so far. Most of her novels are nice romantic novels. She has also written 5 spiritual novels. Her first novel is “Theendi Chendra Thendral” which got published in 2005 in Kanmani Magazine. All her novels are available as printed books in Arun publications. She has also written around 15 short stories. She has got an award from Thanga Mangai and another award from Kumutham Snehithi for her short stories.
She born and brought up in Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu. She loves long drives and to hear melodious music. Her husband has encouraged her throughout her journey as a author. She strongly believes that “God is the ultimate power” and has written 5 spiritual books too including a travelogue on “Sadhuragiri”.
