Sherry Hansen Steiger first became interested in UFOs and matters cosmic when she was a student, then a staff member at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. With her background in nursing and theology, Sherry began researching alternative health issues and mysteries of the unknown in the 1960s. Her interest in the subjects peaked when she became ufologist Dr. J. Allen Hynek's manager and publicity director until the time of his death in 1985. Sherry was one of the founding members of the Wholistic Healing Board through the Institute of Health and Education in Washington, D.C. She is also experienced as a magazine editor and an advertising agency director and has authored or coauthored more than forty books, including the inspirational Real Miracles, Divine Intervention, and Feast of Survival and the best-selling Miracles series, including Dog Miracles, Animal Miracles, Miracles of a Mother's Love, and Christmas Miracles (winner of the 2002 Storytelling Award ).
