Ruth Plumly Thompson

Ruth Plumly Thompson (1891–1976) was an American author best known for continuing the beloved Oz series after the death of L. Frank Baum. Between 1921 and 1939, Thompson wrote 19 Oz books, expanding the magical world and introducing new characters and adventures. Her works are known for their playful humor, creative wordplay, and richly imagined settings, making her a cherished figure in children's literature.
