Rebecca Barrett writes historical fiction, post-apocalyptic fiction (writing as Campbell O'Neal), children stories, and short stories of life in the South. An avid reader all her life and a product of "front porch" socializing, she became a story teller at an early age. In addition to her more serious fiction, she writes, in collusion with a group of other writers, in a series of light hearted romantic mysteries about a black cat detective named Trouble who fashions himself after Sherlock Holmes, right down to the British accent.
