Nuno Maulide

Nuno Maulide is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Vienna. His research revolves around the study of unconventional reactivity in organic chemistry and the development of small-molecule tools for biochemical and medicinal applications. He initially studied at the Instituto Superior Técnico and obtained his M.Sc. from the Ecole Polytechnique. Following his Ph.D. studies at the Université Catholique de Louvain (with Prof. István Markó, completion in 2007), he moved to Stanford University, working as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Barry Trost. In 2009, he became Max-Planck Research Group Leader (MPI für Kohlenfoschung), before moving to Vienna in 2013. In addition to his position at the University of Vienna, he is Adjunct PI at the Research Center for Molecular Medicine (CeMM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
