Nader N. Chokr is a Professor of Philosophy and Social Sciences who has lectured and taught for thirty years or so at various institutions around the world – in the US, Europe, Africa, and more recently in Asia. He currently lives in Oslo, Norway, as an Independent Philosopher, deliberately engaged in systematic “unlearning” while “cultivating his garden” as well as various “elective affinities.” His most recent published work is Unlearning, or How Not to Be Governed? (2009). Apart from a collection of Untimely Fragments and Aphorisms for the New Millennium, soon to be completed, he is presently working on a science-fiction trilogy with utopian and dystopian overtones, whose working title is Heteropias: What Then?
