Ludovic Hubler

Social entrepreneur, travel writer, and speaker, Ludovic Hubler has made human connection and commitment the guiding principles of his life. Born on September 11, 1977, his career is marked by a tireless quest for understanding and action in the service of others. Holder of a Master of Science in Management from the Strasbourg School of Management, he chose, at the dawn of his career, to swap the traditional route for a daring project: a round-the-world trip by hitchhiking, completed between 2003 and 2008. This extraordinary journey, which took him through some sixty countries and more than 170,000 kilometers traveled solely thanks to the solidarity of motorists around the world, allowed him to immerse himself in diverse cultural realities and experience an exceptional human adventure. This founding experience, rich in lessons and significant encounters, would give birth to his first book, Le Monde en Stop, 5 années à l'école de la vie, awarded the Pierre Loti prize and translated into several languages ( www.lemondeenstop.com ). Building on these years of immersion in world cultures, he became involved in humanitarian action and worked for 5 years as head of field operations for the Peace and Sport organization, under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. This experience led him to found TRAVEL WITH A MISSION (TWAM – www.travelwithamission.org ), an organization that connects travelers and local stakeholders to transform each trip into an opportunity for civic engagement. Through TWAM, he is developing an international network of public interest projects, allowing everyone to make a concrete contribution to the social and environmental challenges of our time. At the same time, he shares his experience during conferences in various organizations (companies, nursing homes, schools, universities). These presentations, which combine travel stories and in-depth reflections, address essential themes such as audacity, risk-taking, leadership and commitment ( https://conferences.ludovichubler.com ). Convinced that life is a series of challenges to overcome, Ludovic leaves his comfort zone every year through physical or intellectual challenges. His latest challenge, La Diagonale de l'Engagement, is part of this tradition while echoing his lifelong commitment to a more united world. This perpetual quest for meaning is enriched by a strong family connection: Ludovic is married to Marisol, whom he met during his hitchhiking trip around the world, and is the father of two children.
