Keith Walmsley

Keith Walmsley is a retired chartered town planner, born in Middlesex but resident for over 40 years in Reading - and still wondering how in 1981 he failed to attend the one and only first-class match ever played in the town. An enthusiastic but incompetent player, he took early refuge in the facts and figures of the game. He has been a member of the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians since the mid-1970s, and Statistical officer of The Cricket Society since 1996. His previous publications have included three editions of Mosts Without in Test Cricket, the ACS Famous Cricketers volume on long-time hero Clem Hill, and the Lives in Cricket volumes Brief Candles and Brief Candles 2.
