John Burt
John Burt has taught American Literature at Brandeis University for more than forty years. He is the author of Lincoln's Tragic Pragmatism, and the editor of The Collected Poems of Robert Penn Warren. He is also the author of three books of poetry, The Way Down, Work without Hope, and Victory. A Moment's Surrender is his first novel.
