Author and Media Producer Jim Proser began his professional career at age 15 as a city reporter for the Lambertville (NJ) Beacon newspaper. In his 20's he moved to New York City where he rose through the ranks of the film production business to become the Executive Producer of his own production company. He has produced tv commercials for advertising agencies, feature film elements for motion picture studios, written 5 books for leading book publishers, produced documentary films, music videos, internet tele-seminars and webinars. He is currently an executive producer developing a 10-part television series based on his book "Mr. Copacabana". He is a public speaker who speaks on a range of topics including; "America Was Founded in Brotherly Love, Not Slavery". He is a member of the Director's Guild of America, the Author's Guild, a board member of the Eugene A. Obregon Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial Foundation and board member/executive director of Princeton Classical Academy, an educational service organization. His first book, "I'm Staying with My Boys; The Heroic Life of Sgt. John Basilone, USMC" was published by St. Martin's Press and awarded the United States Marine Corps Commandant's Recommendation in 2011. It was the source material for the subsequent documentary film that Jim wrote, produced and directed. The book and documentary have also served as source material for speaking engagements at the United States Naval Institute in Washington DC, the University of Northern Idaho Writer's Symposium, Bowdoin College Advanced Literature Studies, the Coeur D'Alene Charter Academy, numerous civic organizations and secondary schools. His book, "No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy; The Life of General James Mattis" was published by HarperCollins publishers and achieved the rank of #1 in its category and #17 overall on amazon.com. It was nominated for the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation's 2019 Col. Joseph Alexander Award for biography. Jim has appeared on national television and radio programs including "The Story with Martha MacCallum" and "Fox and Friends" on the Fox News Network. He has written articles for National Review Online, the Investor's Business Daily and Merion West magazine.
