Jim Campbell began work as a social worker in the mid-1980s in Belfast where he worked in a local psychiatric hospital and then a community mental health team. He then joined Queen’s University Belfast as a Lecturer in Social Work and later became a Senior Lecturer. Jim moved to Goldsmiths, University of London, in 2012, as Professor of Social Work and then to University MA26 Dublin in 2015. Jim’s research interests are in exploring how political conflict affects social work practice and education and the processes involved when mental health social workers use mental health laws and forms of coercion with clients.”
