Professor Fethi Mansouri is the Director of the Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation and convenor of Middle Eastern studies within Deakin University's School of International and Political Studies. Professor Mansouri's research cuts across the two fields of applied linguistics and cultural studies. He is the author of many books including 'Grammatical Markedness and Information Processing' (LINCOM Europa Publishers: Germany 2000); (with M.P. Leach) of 'Lives in Limbo: Voices of Refugees under Temporary Protection' (UNSW Press, Sydney 2004), 'Australia and the Middle East: A Frontline Relationship' (I.B. Tauris, London/New York 2006) and (with S Akbarzadeh) 'Islam and Political Violence: Muslim Diaspora and Radicalism in the West', (I.B. Tauris: London/New York 2007).
