Dennis Foley

A life-long Chicagoan, Dennis Foley is the author of the award-winning guidebook--The Streets and San Man's Guide to Chicago Eats, a memoir--The Drunkard's Son, and the novel The Blue Circus. His short fiction and memoir pieces have also appeared in a number of journals. No Ketchup is his fourth book. Dennis holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College-Chicago, and a JD from The John Marshall Law School. He is also a proud graduate of Christian Brothers University in Memphis. Married to his bride Susan for over thirty years, they have three sons--Matt, Pat, and Mike. Over the years, Dennis has had the pleasure of working as a bouncer, assistant state's attorney, criminal defense attorney, dog-walker, electrician, beer-line cleaner, teacher, and coach. In addition to working on his craft, Dennis founded and runs a lacrosse program for Southside kids and still uses his legal skills on occasion to keep his friends out of jail.
