Edwin F. Beckenbach

American mathematician Edwin F. Beckenback (1906–82) taught at Rice University and the University of Texas, and from 1945 until his retirement, at UCLA. He was also a consultant to the Rand Corporation and a visiting professor at The Institute for Advanced Study.
