Questo piccolo volume rappresenta un primo timido tentativo dell’Autore di addentrarsi nel mondo della scrittura. Si tratta di alcuni brevi racconti ispirati alla realtà di tutti i giorni e ad alcune persone da lui conosciute in passato. In particolare: “Filomena” e “Umberto D” sono ispirati a persone da lui conosciute durante la sua attività lavorativa di centralinista telefonico. “Un Disabile qualunque”, “Non ti far prendere in braccio” e “Lo scemo del villaggio” sono, invece, racconti autobiografici. Alcuni racconti scritti in prima persona non sono propriamente autobiografici. Il protagonista è un “io narrante” cui l’autore affida il compito di raccontare la vicenda.
