About the author

About the AuthorChris Smart is a twelve-year-old boy with an intense love of reading. He has an amazing imagination. He could think of no better way to share his imagination with the world than to write. He learned that one of his favorite authors, Gordon Korman, wrote his first book at the age of twelve. He decided that if Gordon could do it, so could he. Chris, however, wanted to write his first book at a younger age than Korman. He started his first book at the age of ten and finished it just shy of his twelfth birthday. Chris lives in Oregon with his mom, dad, and older brother. He loves to spend his time writing, playing video games, jumping on the trampoline, and acting out scenarios from his book ideas. He has once said that he fears that he may not live long enough to write about all of his ideas. That is a lot of books!
