About this ebook

London, 1876. Hetty Feather is a tiny, fiery-haired baby when her mother leaves her on the steps of the Foundling Hospital.

Sent to live with a foster family in the country until she is big enough to go to school, Hetty plays vivid imaginary games with her foster brothers. Together they sneak off to visit the travelling circus, and Hetty is mesmerised by the show - especially the stunning Madame Adeline and her performing horses.

But Hetty's happiness is threatened when she must return to the Foundling Hospital to begin her education. The cruel matrons' strict regime is a terrible struggle for Hetty, and she desperately misses her beloved foster brother, Jem. But now she has the chance to find her real mother. Could she really be Madame Adeline? Or will the truth be even more surprising?

An original, compelling and utterly fascinating tale from one of the most beloved writers of our time, and now a major CBBC series.

Its a totally awsome book, I've also read sapphire battersea (the sequel) and emerald star (the final book), basically the whole collection. My favourite part of hetty feather is very much the ending when she does find her mother. my favourite part of sapphire battersea is when she enjoys her summer at bignor, and last but not least my favourite part of emerald star is when Jem tries to kiss hetty on the lips but she runs away and hurts her ankle. Sapphire Battersea has a very sad ending but still a great book, Emerald Star has her final ending and is great but I think Hetty feather was excellent and is the best drawed with emerald star out of the whole collection.

I read the first version of Hetty Feather such a long time ago so I might be wrong, But Hetty seems to of changed in the story. She was more shy and timid in the first version. Also, hate the new NON Nick Sharratt cover. I just don't feel like Hetty fits the first Tracy B vibe. Quite a disappointment.

Unbelievabley realistic book and just bought the second one and can not wait to open the book after that one and follow through Hetty Feathers life. Everyone should definitely indulge into the past with Hetty the way I did!
