About this ebook

“You have every right to hate me, little one. I’m an a*hole. But I’m your a*hole now.”

  -Seeck

Orphaned in a desert village, I'm little more than a slave, but when my scent changes and the Chieftain assaults me, I fight back. Terrified and bleeding, I run through the streets, praying for death.

I meet Seeck instead, a ruthless, heartless soldier willing to crush anyone who gets in his way. Except, he isn't just any soldier. He's an Alpha Elite–a top secret Special Operations unit of super soldiers–and according to him, I'm in his way.

He leaves me broken and humiliated in an alley, but his teammates find me and care for me. They know something he refuses to admit.

I'm his omega lifemate, and now that he's had a taste of me, he'll never be able to walk away.

Which means I'm in more danger than ever before. His enemies have found us, and they know his one weakness.

Me.

The first few paragraphs of Chapter 1 were a bit confusing, but as the chapter went on, the imagery was super vivid and you could really picture the surroundings. It was interesting that there wasn’t a single conversation in the whole chapter. It made the mission described in the chapter way more interesting and easy to imagine how important it was. When I first started reading it, it took a bit of time to get into it, but after chapter 3, I couldn’t put it down and finished the whole book in

I had read this book in the past and loved it and reading it again, nothing has changed in that assessment. Having two characters that feel at odds with the feelings, the world around them, the situation they are in - it just makes for some good drama. Author and book are both worth following and reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

As usual, the author did a great job world-building. You really got a sense of the places they were in, especially the desert. Fair warning, there are some SA are not off scene. This is the beginning saga of a dystopian version of a Navy Seal team, each finding their lifemates. I enjoyed the multiple POVs of the team members. Seeck is a man who views himself as death, a killing machine who doesn't deserve love and happiness. This perspective is what causes his initial brutal and shocked reaction to his omega. He soon realizes he might deserve it and resolves to win her trust. The omega is learning what she is. She is learning to trust men. If you are familiar with the Omegaverse, you may enjoy this book. It is also an enemies to lovers, action story.
