This was wonderfully done, it had that element that I was looking for from the description. The characters were what I wanted and enjoyed the overall feel of this world. The overall concept was great and I was engaged with the characters. Renee Joiner wrote this perfectly and can't wait for more. This is a short read. This is Maisie’s story. She is a scientist looking for the cure for Batten’s Disease. What happens when her husband and boss betrays her. Can she trust Kade to help her? I liked the story, but felt the ending left you hanging. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed this story. Poor Maisie had a string of bad luck that backfired and lead to a fun read. Made me laugh and laugh at times. Some drama, action an surprises to keep things interesting.
