About this ebook

A second chance, frenemies to lovers romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!

Boone Reeves was my everything once. Not anymore.

Boone is back in town, and I want *nothing* to do with him. He might be panty-melting hot, but I can stand the heat. All I have to do is remember how he dumped me.

Boone never did anything in half measures, and when he broke my heart, he broke it good.

He was never supposed to come back. He definitely wasn't supposed to want a second chance, and I’m not about to give it to him.

Boone & Grace's story is perfect for readers who love: Second chances, frenemies to lovers, slow burn, neighbors who fall hard and fast, small town shenanigans, emotional romance with a dash of angst, plenty of swoon, and a hero with a protective streak.

*A full-length standalone romance.

I find so much enjoyment reading about this group of friends, employees/employers and family in Stolen Hearts Valley. This time it’s Boone and Grace who get their tale. They were high school and college sweethearts until Boone went to Colorado to visit his father. Grace suggested they take a break and see if they want to date others while they are apart for the summer/fall. Unfortunately, this leads to their downfall. So many misunderstandings keep them separated for years until it starts to come out what happened back when they were 20 years old. Their story developed nicely, and we were able to visit with past characters like Evie, Shay, Dani, Valentina, Skylar, and their significant others. Lots of drama, excitement, sexy times, and a bit of foolishness. The epilogue was delightful. I received an ARC and voluntarily left an honest review.

I normally live J.H Croix books but this style of writing is different, very cliche, rom-com, predictable vibes. It reads as if it is a rom-com budget movie, I'm very confused as the author usually has high quality writing skills, that would leave me turning the pages all night. I will read other books by J.H Croix and I'm hoping this was a one off but this one is a dnf unfortunately.

this is my third book in this series and the only one so far that I enjoyed reading, I didn't finish the first book of the series and was not a big fan of Evie and Dawson story. Grace and Boone dated in high school but decide to take a break when Grace went to college. they decided to get back together but something happened and Boone freaked out and broke Grace heart. Boone finally tells the story to Grace but Grace still has trust issues, for a few different reasons. In the end, Grace finally realizes that she needs to trust Boone and make things work. At the end of Evie and Dawson story, Evie is pregnant yet there is no mention of the baby or Evie being pregnant.
