if you read all the robert hunter novels in one go, you will realise its all very similar. just different villains, victims and MO. The same tedious background for all main characters are repeated in all the books and the endings are drawn out to create suspense which gets very, very tiring. Also, seeing the line 'single malt whisky is his greatest passion' in every single book is really annoying. he basically fits in an almost exact copy of the whisky background in all the books.

Great read, absolutely love Chris Carter. I wanted more, wish it was a little bit longer. Waited so long for this book and it was finished in 2 days. Looking forward to his next book

Loved this book from start to finish, took me 3 days to read and on one of those days spent roughly 8 hours reading and 5 of those hours were non-stop! I loved the brutality descrptions that were given for the murders and the eerie pictures that were painted in my head as I was reading. I'm new to Chris Carter's novels (and the Robert Hunter novels) and what a book to start my love on! Definiely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a thrilling story, the ending was also might I add absolutely brilliant. The last page made me smile but also made my brain tingle like crazy! Would rate a 6 if possible!
