Leslie Meier's latest offering "Patchwork Quilt Murder" is not up to her usual standard. It drags in spots, failed to hold my attention, and lacks a good plot. Her children are all on their own now, and Bill & Lucy are "empty nesters". Lucy still works at the Pennysaver, now called the Courier, but even that falls short. Then Meier brings in the idiocy of climate change. Really, haven't we heard enough about that from politicians? If she continues to voice her politics through her books, this loyal reader will no longer be loyal to the Lucy Stone mysteries. I got bored with this latest offering, and didn't finish reading the entire book. It was a total waste of my time; a couple of hours I'll never get back! Leslie Meier, you can definitely do better than this!
