A substantially crueller journey mid way through the book (at least he left it to the end of 'This is going to hurt'). Such an incredibly easy read and sings to my little NHS born/raised/recruited heart! Sadly very short, but so very inspiring. Thank you for your service!

I don't know if you're going to read this review Adam (can I call you that?) but I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your time as a doctor, thank you for being a fantastic author, for making me laugh, cry, re-evaluate my life as an IT specialist, and thinking I should change careers and help other people (patients). (The answer is no frigging thank you, because I am not that wonderful). Your book(s) are amazing, you are amazing, and these latest memoirs will stay with me forever. Fantastic, always.

if you've read the original, don't bother. Very short and all the best stories were in the first book.

Adam Kay is an award-winning comedian and author of the multi-million-copy bestseller This is Going to Hurt and the festive diaries Twas the Nightshift Before Christmas. He previously worked as a junior doctor, which is hopefully clear by now. He lives in Oxfordshire.
