A disoriented young squash arrives in a corner of the supermarket. From here he begins his search for where he belongs in this new confusing world. With charming illustrations and endearing characters, this picture book is definitely worth picking up for the little ones in your life.

About the author

The Author

Jill Dana draws her inspiration from fruits and vegetables. The first film she produced at the University of Southern California MFA program was a one-minute film about a pear exploring his world. She hopes Butternut and her other works, will inspire readers to look at the world in new ways and promote greater compassion.

Rachel Tan-Hwee (@rattanhwee) loves telling stories with her art and has been in love with drawing and painting since she was little.
