This book explores the process of dealing with depression and how it affects the ordinary life of the person. Healing is often a gradual tedious journey and it requires hope and courage to stay put. The purpose of this book is to help loved ones of people dealing with mental illnesses appreciate the tiny efforts they make every single day so that hope is offered to both. Through poetry and riveting metaphors from the point of view of a mentally ill person, the poet attempts to break down the struggle into uncomplicated chunks and scraps.
'Zero hour' is easily translated to 'a critical time' and is hence the perfect title for this book.
