வெ.சொக்கலிங்கம் 15-06-1990 அன்று திரு.வெங்கடாசலம் மற்றும் திருமதி.மல்லிகா ஆகியோருக்கு மகனாகப் பிறந்தார். இவரது தந்தை ஒரு வழக்கறிஞர் மற்றும் இவரது தாய் ஒரு இல்லத்தரசி. வெ.சொக்கலிங்கம் பொறியியலில் இளங்கலை பட்டமும், மேலாண்மையில் முதுகலைப் பட்டமும் பெற்றவர். உலகின் பழமையான நகரங்களில் ஒன்றான மதுரையில் பிறந்து வளர்ந்த இவருக்கு அறிவியல், அரசியல், மதம், வரலாறு, சினிமா தொடர்பான புத்தகங்கள் படிப்பதில் விருப்பம். “சிந்திப்பது, ஆராய்வது, பகிர்வது” என்று அறிவு சார்ந்த விவாதங்களில் ஈடுபடுவதற்கான அர்ப்பணிப்பை தொடர்வதில் ஆர்வம் கொண்டவர். ஜூலை 2020 இல், கொரோனா தொற்றுநோய் காரணமாக விதிக்கப்பட்ட ஊரடங்கு உத்தரவை திறம்பட பயன்படுத்தும் நோக்கத்துடன் chocksvlog.blogspot.com என்ற வலைப்பதிவில் எழுதத் தொடங்கினார், அதிலிருந்து அவர் தனது எழுத்துப் பணிகளைத் தொடர்கிறார். இதுவரை, அவர் சுமார் 1600 பக்கங்களுக்கு, 165 வலைப்பதிவு கட்டுரைகள் மற்றும் 13 புத்தகங்களை எழுதியுள்ளார்.

V.Chockalingam was born on 15-06-1990 to Mr.Venkatachalam and Mrs.Mallika. His father is a lawyer and his mother is a housewife. V. Chockalingam holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in management. Born and brought up in Madurai, one of the oldest cities in the world, he loves reading books related to science, politics, religion, history, and cinema. Passionate about engaging in knowledge-based discussions, his motto is “Thinking, Exploring, Sharing.” In July 2020, he started writing a blog called chocksvlog.blogspot.com with the aim of making effective use of the curfew imposed due to the corona pandemic, from which he continues his writing works. So far, he has authored 165 blog articles and 13 books, totalling around 1600 pages.
