Acerca deste libro electrónico

Cilla Black is without doubt one of Britain's most treasured personalities. Generations have grown up with Cilla's music, TV shows, and performances. But how much do we really know about 'the girl with the bright red hair and the jet black voice'? What's It All About? is Cilla's own story, told for the first time ever. It's the story of a woman who has worked ceaselessly to stay at the top for forty years despite setbacks and personal tragedy; a life of incredible highs and terrible lows. In this deeply personal autobiography she tells her unique story in intimate and vivid detail for the very first time. This is the real Cilla Black.

Acerca do autor

Born Priscilla Maria Veronica White in Liverpool's heavily bombed, down trodden Scotland Road in 1943, Cilla grew up as a rough and tumble tomboy in a staunchly catholic household. By the time she was twenty - caught up in the incredible youth explosion of the Sixties - she was a key player on the up and coming Mersey scene, managed by Brian Epstein and friends with the Beatles. She enjoyed hit after smash hit as Cilla Black, selling a hundred thousand records a day.

Cilla became a prominent television presenter in the 1980s and 1990s with shows such as Blind Date and Surprise Surprise. Two years after celebrating 50 years in showbusiness, she sadly passed away in August 2015.
