Purcell has written and published her "Memoirs of a Woman in Politics: Spiritual Struggle (2008) and a Bible Study Series for women, "At His Feet" (2010). She is a vocal advocate on good governance and a strong proponent of a biblical worldview. A widow, mother and grandmother, she resides in Grenada, Eastern Caribbean.
