About this ebook

An immortal who can't remember his past has much to fear.
Struggling with a mountain of hardships, Hotan is just trying to make it to the end of his senior year and get his diploma, satisfying his mother’s dying wish. Friends know if he's not at home or at the club playing lead in his cover band, they can always find him thinking at the old broken-down church. In a world of gray, this is the only place he can breathe.
Basking in the moonlight, Hotan finds himself under attack by an immortal named Geliah, better known as the element of Fear. Could this be the entity from his dream? The one that has killed him over and over again? When Talib, the element of Judgment, interrupts the fight, Geliah is furious. His aim? To force Hotan to awaken his own abilities and immortality before taking revenge.
Normally, when pulled out of the reincarnation spell, an immortal remembers who and what they are, but this is not the Hotan from the past. Despite the powers manifesting, Hotan must figure out what happened to the original entity who once held these powers and eventually face Geliah. Is it because he’s a failed reincarnation, or did something far more tragic happen during his last death?
Walk beside Hotan as he struggles to keep his chaotic life in order while uncovering the secrets of his own element—Rebirth.
This is a young adult, dark urban fantasy tale of discovering who you are and what you wish to become in life that is unpredictable at best.

Valerie Willis is a Dark Fantasy Paranormal Romance author based out of Central Florida. She loves crafting novels with elements inspired by mythology, superstitions, legends, folklore, fairy tales and history. Her Award-Winning Dark Fantasy Paranormal Romance, ‘The Cedric Series,’ is a wonderful blend of genres that appeal to a wide-range of readers described as “dramatic, lustful, and fantasy fulfilling.” The motto here is: “No immortal is beyond the ailments of man” and that includes powerful creatures, demons, witches and Gods. Many of the monsters present in battle derive from Medieval Bestiaries and adds a fun flavor of new yet deeply rooted assortment of creatures such as Coin Iotair, Shag Foal, Cynocephali, and many more.

For Young Adult readers look for her Dark Urban Fantasy filled with coming-of-age lessons, the ‘Tattooed Angels Trilogy.’ Hotan is a failed reincarnation and is becoming immortal against his will. Life is complicated and often we withdraw within ourselves and shut others out when life becomes hard. As the story unfolds we learn the importance of opening up and asking for support in all its forms even beyond friends and family. Each immortal controls powers of nature like fire and wind or elements of humanity such as fear or judgment.

You can often find this Author hosting workshops about writing and self-publishing in the Orlando, Florida area or working on the next novel. She loves to inspire other writers and creative minds. Be sure to visit her blog for some of the writing advice she has to offer. Uniquely, she brings in a perspective that has influences from Game Development and Graphic Design.
