Dr. Srinivasan V is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur. He obtained his Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He is the recipient of IITK Excellence in Leadership in Students’ Affairs and has been nominated for Shanker Dayal Sharma Gold Medal for best outgoing PG student. His research areas are infrastructure geotechnics, mining geotechnics, and forensic geotechnics. He has contributed 18 peer-reviewed articles in journals of international repute and 10 articles in prestigious conferences indexed in SCI/Scopus. He has also received a research grant of Rs. 133 Lakhs from Coal India Limited (CIL). He is actively engaged in teaching, research and industrial consultancy in geotechnical engineering, engineering geosciences and concreting and pavement materials. He is a reviewer for reputed journals like the International Journal of Civil Engineering, Arabian Journal of Geosciences, Indian Geotechnical Journal, and International Journal of Geosynthetics and Ground Engineering among others. He is also a lifetime member of the Indian Geotechnical Society, Institute of Engineers (India), Indian Concrete Institute and the Indian Road Congress.
Dr. Udit Jain is an Assistant Professor at VNIT, Nagpur. He received his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from IIT, Roorkee. The work carried out by him on pedestrian crosswalks has been incorporated into the Indo-HCM (2017) and IRC:103 (2022). He earned his master's degree from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and was the Gold Medalist in Transport Planning. He is a certified road safety auditor and has completed international and national certification courses in road safety from Delft, Netherlands, and IIT, Roorkee. He has carried out several road safety audit projects in the states of Punjab and Maharashtra. He has organized several 15-day road safety auditor certification courses at VNIT, Nagpur in association with the Indian Roads Congress and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (Government of India). He is an active contributor to peer-reviewed journals and has showcased his research at several national and international conferences. His research interests are in the fields of road safety, pedestrian facility planning, intersection design, integration of transportation modes, and intelligent transportation systems.
Prof. M.V.L.R. Anjaneyulu is a Professor (HAG) in the Department of Civil Engineering at NIT, Calicut. He completed his Doctorate in Civil Engineering from the University of Calicut and his Masters degree in Transportation Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Warangal. He has more than 33 years of teaching and research experience in Transportation Engineering. His areas of research interest include urban transportation planning, travel behaviour studies, traffic flow analysis and modelling, traffic safety analysis and evaluation, and applications of Geographic Information System (GIS) in transportation. He has guided eleven Ph.D. works and is presently guiding four Ph.D. scholars. He has also guided nearly 170 postgraduate dissertation works and is presently guiding two PG dissertation works. He has published more than one hundred eighty research papers in various journals and conferences. He was awarded the IRC Best Research Paper award in 1998 and 2014. He is a member of various professional bodies. He has successfully completed six research projects sponsored by various agencies like Natural Resources Data Management System (NRDMS), Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE), Ministry of Urban Development (MOUD), Ministry of Education, and Coir Board. He is the Coordinator of State Technical Agency for scrutiny of proposals under PMGSY scheme for seven northern districts of Kerala.
Prof. Manoranjan Parida, took over the charge of Director, CSIR-Central Road Research Institute on September 20, 2022. He previously was Deputy Director at IIT, Roorkee. He was MoRTH Chair Professor on the Development of Highway System in India at IIT, Roorkee during 2013-2017. He has worked on an Imprint Research Project, ‘Propagation and Mitigation Model of Mixed Traffic Noise for Planning Mid-Sized Indian Cities.’ The design and development of a noise barrier for Flyovers in Delhi is one of his innovative contributions. He has provided substantial inputs for a third-party quality audit of 1,700 kms of State Highway in the State of Bihar, during 2007-2013, under the RSVY Project. He has provided consultancy for more than 350 urban road infrastructure projects, intercity corridors, rural roads, and expressways. He received Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Centenary Award in the year 2004 from Indian Road Congress. He has received the Outstanding Teacher Award from IIT Roorkee. He is presently Convener of the Urban Roads & Streets Committee(H-8) of the Indian Roads Congress, New Delhi.
