Understanding Language Contact offers an accessible and empirically grounded introduction to contact linguistics. - Includes examples from a wide range of contact languages, including Creoles and pidgins; Indigenous, minority, and heritage languages; mixed languages; and immigrants' linguistic practices, to illustrate ideas and concepts;
