About this ebook

My high school fling walked back into my life.

And she’s much hotter than I remember. How the hell is she involved in the latest heist case that lands in my lap?

No way I’m getting distracted. The past is just that—the past.

Rules aren’t there to be broken, but to be followed.

Unfortunately for her, she’s on the wrong side of the law—or it appears that way.

Slowly she digs her way into my heart and lights my body on fire as she goes.

She’s chaos and I’m order. This will never work.

I can’t keep her out of my mind or out of the K-9 unit’s headquarters.

The woman is driving me crazy. And I need her to back up.

But she’s not one to take direction.

It’s my badge or her…

A cultured sprint through romance Hope, an art gallery director, is in disbelief when Jerome, the K-9 unit lieutenant, is right in front of her when he comes to further investigate the theft of a painting frim the gallery. As the story progresses old sparks ignite, she keeps trying to insert herself into the case, and just because a line is drawn, it does not mean it will not be wiped away. Lexy Parker took a cultured sprint through romance in Under His Direction. I am loving this series and this author. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

This is book two in The K-9 Cop Romance Series and it is Jerome and Hope's story. Jerome and Hope have history as they were high school sweethearts until Jerome left but now fifteen years later and they meet again when a theft at Hope's art gallery brings Jerome back into her life as he is the police officer that is dealing with her case. The chemistry between Jerome and Hope is just as strong as ever but will this be there second chance or has too much time gone by for them to recapture what they had before. I absolutely loved this book as Jerome was a by the book police officer and Hope followed her heart regardless of what other's thought and they were so perfect together that you found yourself hoping that they could overcome all there problems and have the happy ending that they both deserve. I recommend that you read this book as it is a real page turner and so well written with great characters and storyline and definitely worth reading. I Voluntarily Reviewed a Copy of This Book.

I loved seeing the Lieutenant find his happily ever after, yet I feel so conflicted about this. I adored Jerome and Teddy, but I spent a lot of this book being frustrated and mad at Hope. She does all the things that make me fear for my dental work when I read cozy mysteries. I totally understand that she's worried about the loss of her reputation and livelihood, however by inserting herself into the police investigation she jeopardizes getting that reputation and livelihood back. I fully agreed with and sympathized with Jerome every time he tried to tell her “no”. I'm a sucker for a second chance and the ending is everything that is Hollywood perfect. I’m pretty sure real life wouldn’t be as forgiving of all the corners that got cut, so I’m glad I get to enjoy this as simply good fiction. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
