About this ebook

Not every human, elf, or dwarf could be equally important to me, and that's a fact that I had accepted long ago. I was here to serve my role, to help end this war, but it wasn’t for world peace or to save mankind—it was so, one day, I could lead a comfortable and happy life with the people I loved and cared for.

Arthur Leywin has experienced two lifetimes of challenge and adventure. He has lived as a swordsman, a mage, an adventurer, and a king. Now his two lives, old and new, will collide, revealing the connection between King Grey and Arthur Leywin, but at what cost? And how will this affect the ongoing war between the nations of Alacrya and Dicathen? Enemy forces threaten the coastal cities, the elven forests, and the fortified mountain passes; Dicathen’s most powerful allies have vanished; and the military alliance between men, elves, and dwarves threatens collapse. Arthur may be the last hope for his people, but when forced to choose between family and country, where will his loyalty lie?

I mean I've loved the story since the book 4 training arc. But now it's been what 3 books and after all the training he's still completely useless. cliché things the first time I heard the name nico I knew it was elijah and tessia was Cecil... now its just a rotation of art makes a mistake sulks tess makes a mistake sulks In an endless cycle. it's been 3-4 chapters of training, depression and dissapointment... to the point where no matter what happens now you'll never feel happy with the outcome of the story.

I looked forward to bed every night so I could read this series. I enjoy books that make you use your imagination to see and understand the story. This one was so interesting. Very different story line. I did not like how short the books were, making the reader buy 7 of them and still not getting a conclusive ending was rather irritating. I don't know if I will look for the next one. The story was just getting too bogged down in grand scale fighting. Art could have told Nico what Cecilia said before she died. Anyone else would have.

Okay, wow. I just finished this book and I desperately need a sequel. And here I thought this was the last book. It just keeps getting heavier and heavier the farther we get into this war. And again, NO MATTER HOW POWERFUL ARTHUR GETS we are ALWAYS, SHOWN not told, that there's always a higher level of power. As a side note parts of this are giving me serious Eragon vibes. His relationship with Sylvie, accidentally getting shot at arriving at The Wall. Hopefully an accident.
