Jesus did not start His Ecclesia with the 12, but from 2 friends who were originally John the Baptist’s disciples, John and Andrew. This friendship unit was the beginning of a powerful church that will destroy the kingdom of darkness and bring forth God’s kingdom on earth. It turns out that Jesus discipled His disciples using a Jewish discipleship method called HAVRUTA (meaning: FRIENDSHIP).

This method has been used by the Jewish people, since the time of the Babylonian exile until today. After I studied this discipleship model, my spiritual eyes were opened, widely. It brought me to a realization that many discipleship concepts, that we previously applied, were totally different when compared with the havruta model that Jesus applied.
