Morgan just wanted a quiet simple doctor’s life after an adrenaline filled career in the ER and Africa. But there’s plenty of edge of your seat rescues and emergency surgeries to make this story intense. Add in the drama of partnering with a doctor she had one night with many years ago. The feelings are still there and there’s a lot of back and forth between them as they are both still attracted to each other, but she’s not sure if she can trust Ely after what her deceased husband did. He wants her, but then worries he’s putting her before his son and that she will leave him brokenhearted. The rest of the island characters seemed very welcoming and supportive.

Morgan and Ely spent a night together years ago and while Morgan had hoped he would call her after he never did, so seeing him again ten years later was a shock the fact he had to rescue her bruises her already fragile even more. Now due to fate they not only meet again but also have to work together for a month and feelings once buried resurface and they have the choice of whether to act on them, however Morgan is still working through a harsh betrayal and Ely will do anything to protect his son including not opening his heart to someone. I loved the laughs as well as frustrations and tense moments these two caused me along with the great people they are surrounded by not only at the clinic, but also Ely's home and Whidbey Island. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a book in The Mills and Boon Medical series and it is Morgan and Ely's story. Morgan and Ely have history as they had a one night stand year's ago but now ten year's later and they meet again but both of them totally different people to what they were when they first met and they are both jaded and have trust issue's. The chemistry between them is still as strong as ever but now that they have to work together in the same clinic as they are both doctor's and also Ely is a single father to his son and has no time for anything else and then you have Morgan who has had so many devastating blows in her life and not ready to date but with the more time they spend working together will it bring them closer together. I really enjoyed this book and I found myself hoping that they could overcome all there issue's and insecurities of not being together as they are so perfect for each other and deserve a happy ending. I recommend that you read this book as it has a great storyline and is so well written and worth reading.
