About the author

Carol Bates Hutchinson resides in Ohio with her husband Ron and family. She has two daughters, Katie and Julie who inspired her to write her first children’s book, Tooth Fairy Castles. As children, they came to ask the question of where does the tooth go Mom? Carol gave them an answer that would stay with her for the next eighteen years and would develop into a new and different tale that simply answers the question. Carol has always enjoyed writing poetry and songwriting as well. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She has worked as a medical secretary and volunteered at the schools where her children attended. She loves spending time with her first grandchild, family and friends. She enjoys going to broadway plays, concerts, hiking, reading, gardening and walks on the beach. She loves to travel to historical sites and places of beauty that nature has to offer, particularly any where with mountains. She traveled extensively out west by train when her children were young. She has a lot of love and respect for the many animals that share our planet with us. She realizes how miracles surround us each and every day and how we all need to recognize them in our lives and be thankful for the many blessings as we take this journey through life. Her purpose to write and create this fairytale hopes to capture the imagination and keep the magic of childhood alive. In a world that moves far too fast, it is her hope that we all take some time out to cherish and keep the “child” in childhood for many future years to come.
