Young William "Wilum" Greyhorse carves small animals and toys for his younger sisters as a method of coping with alcoholic parents and physical abuse. With the growing estrangement from his family, he is shaken by the increasingly powerful feeling that he is different.

Born into a Native American culture without a tradition of respect for Two-Spirits, Wilam finally embraces his unusual appetites and struggles to chart an uncertain course through the homophobic society surrounding him. His growing skill as a sculptor helps him find his way. His search for a soul mate proves more difficult.

Informazioni sull'autore
Born and raised in a small Oklahoma town, Mark Wildyr has had a lifelong interest in history (Native American and the dominant culture), as well as mythology. After taking an undergraduate degree in History, Mr. Wildyr served in the United States Army and then pursued a career as a businessman. He presently resides in New Mexico. His novels explore developing sexual awareness and intercultural relationships among his characters. Approximately sixty of his short stories and novellas have been acquired by such houses as Alyson Books, Arsenal Pulp, Bold Books, Cleis Press, Companion Press, Green Candy Press, Haworth Press, STARbooks Press, and Freshmen and Men's Magazines.
