There's just something about a hawt rodeo cowboy ya know. And if he happens to be in my favorite town of Marietta all the better! In The Rodeo's Cowboy Baby we get to know Flynn and Irish transplant Evie. Evie is in town to write a column about the rodeo and her friend Charlie is taking the photos. Simple...Easy..hold up. Nothing is ever easy around Charlie and her friends. And this is nothing simple to boot.. I loved this book and everything about it. Author, Heidi Rice gives us another really good Copper Mountain Rodeo read with in-depth info on so much about trying for babies, true love and yep those wonderful Cowboys in Marietta and romance to boot. I am looking forward to more of Flynn's family's stories in the months to come....fingers crossed.

Evie Donnelly is an Irish journalist with a relatively successful blog, in a local New York newspaper, called Evie8 which started out as a single woman's musings on life in New York and the vagaries of the dating scene. Then she met 'the one', got married and tried to have a baby, and tried, and tried. Her blog became about IVF, infertility and disappointment and the disintegration of her marriage. The cherry on the cake? Her ex-husband has got his new girlfriend pregnant 'by accident'. Her pit-bull editor tells Evie that her blog has become too sad and depressing and needs new blood - and what screams new blood more than riding a cowboy? Not as off-the-wall as it sounds, Evie's BFF Charlie is a photographer and she lives in Marietta which just happens to be hosting the 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo. She's invited Evie to stay and cover the rodeo. Evie is too emotionally battered to think about an affair, when Charlie tries to pimp one of her husband's cowboys Flynn as a fantastic guy who only does one-night stands Evie is horrified and gives Charlie her opinion of farm boys/ cowboys with extremely colourful language. Unfortunately Flynn is outside in the corridor, in turns furious at being judged by a total stranger (and of course being lumped together with farm boys as if they were remotely similar to cowboys) and turned on by the husky Irish accent. Flynn is the sort of guy who gets on with everyone, so the antagonism he feels for Evie is unusual, but he is determined to make this beautiful, ethereal woman eat her words. But when the rodeo is over, Evie and Flynn can’t forget those three stolen nights together in Marietta–especially when their wild, wonderful ride turns out to have even more unforgettable consequences. I'm reading this series all out of order but I have to say this is the best one I've read so far (of three). It's earthy and funny and sassy and hawt. Phew-ee, Evie and Flynn have so much chemistry it just jumps right off the Kindle screen. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I totally enjoyed reading Rodeo Cowboy’s Baby by Heidi Rice, book five in The 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo series. I’m not sure what’s in the water in Marietta, but in addition to the hot, hot, hot cowboys, matchmaking is definitely in the air. This is Evie and Flynn’s story. Irish transplant Evie had dreams of becoming a mother, but they crashed and burned along with her marriage. Her editor sends her to the rodeo to look for new meat and material for her dating column. Evie's friend, Charlie, now lives in Marietta and tries to set her up with a real sexy cowboy for a weekend fling. Evie is not just into it, she just wants to be left alone. But Flynn is just too hard to resist. After growing up in foster care Flynn does not do commitment; not that he doesn’t love woman. He does. However, when he meets Evie, he sees just how broken she is. He is determined to heal her and set her free. Their three night fling ends with Evie walking away without even a goodbye to Flynn. She has fallen for him and can't face saying goodbye. After all it was just a fling - Evie and Flynn both agreed to that. These two have to figure out how to handle the little gift that is a reminder from those three night. The attraction between these two is evident from the start and despite Finn initially being offended by an overheard snarky comment from Ellie, their sexual chemistry is off the charts. To both their surprise, the connection is more than sexual - they find they like each other, a lot. I liked the way Ms Rice delved into how having a challenging childhood can affect a person as an adult; in how they think and behave. Both Evie and Finn had problem parents and I thought is was interesting seeing how this affected their responses to each other. This was a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. It had me laughing, crying and everything in between. This story has laughs, pain, secrets, heartbreak. sexual attraction, and endearing characters. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
