Down the mountain, one orc who asks too many questions tumbles, fleeing his past, with only an elven horse, a pair of boots, and an old book for company. Below the whole world awaits him, filled with humans, elves, trolls, and a thousand other monsters that make a habit of killing little orcs like Talking-Wind.
Worse than any of them is the Lady of Firebrand Peak, the dragon who told Talking-Wind to stay put and wait to be eaten like a good orc. Orcs hate questions, but the one thing they hate more than orcs that ask too many questions is an orc looking for all the answers. The pursuit of dangerous knowledge only ever leads to trouble for the tribe. The Lady is not kind, nor is she forgiving.
If Talking-Wind wishes to have any kind of chance to survive he will have to understand why dragons are what they are, and what makes dragons do what dragons do. If he can stay one step ahead of the Lady of Firebrand Peak maybe, just maybe, he might even find a way to fight back.
Talking-Wind will need answers.

'The Tales of Many Orcs' series is by far one of my favorite fantasy book collections to date. Well written and very entertaining. Been recommending these books to other fantasy readers for a while now. Can't wait to read the next part. Update: 8 years later and I still come back (every so often) to see if the third part has been released.

As soon as i heard of your books i checked it out. When i first read the intro it took me three days to read both books. I love them, and wish for more. Do not stop please.

Shane Michael Murray has put a lot of thought into his world and the characters inhabiting it. I was hooked start to finish. Looking forward to seeing what Shane has in store for us next.

Reading was always an escape, however at some point all the stories began to jumble and take on a life of their own, refusing to be contained. Wizards may find themselves in my worlds, however creating something I can share with others is for me the best kind of magic.
